During the visit to the Roghun hydropower plant, the founder of peace and national unity, the leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, got acquainted with the progress of construction works in the section of the construction tunnels ST-1 and ST-2.
It was reported that anchoring, reinforcement of walls and concreting works have been completed so far in the passage section of the construction tunnel ST-2, and painting and reinforcement of the roof section is ongoing with the involvement of specialists.
With the involvement of builders, the works in the passage section of the ST-1 construction tunnel are also going on smoothly, and according to the plan, the total amount of work to be completed in this section is 36 thousand cubic meters. The leader of the nation was informed that 15 thousand cubic meters of the total volume of works have been completed so far.
As it turned out, in the passage section of the ST-1 construction tunnel, the completed tunneling works amounted to more than 10,000 cubic meters, and 3,000 tons of fittings were packed in the construction sections. Reinforcement and concreting works on the sides and walls of the transit section of the ST-1 construction tunnel are continuing with speed and high quality.
For the timely repair and maintenance of the ST-2 tunnel, a vertical repair shaft has been built, and the construction of a similar structure is also ongoing in the ST-1 construction tunnel.
According to the project, the passage section of the ST-1 construction tunnel will be fully completed before the start of operation of the first unit of the Rogun hydropower plant and will be put to use.
The head of the state also visited the process of preparing the building and hydromechanical equipment for water transfer of the possible flood and got acquainted with the process of execution of works and conducting the possible flood of 2018.
Tunneling works have been completed in this facility, and concreting works are ongoing in some parts. Four repair and emergency gates, each weighing more than 263 tons, have been installed. All the equipment and additional parts of the gates are ready for operation, and it was procured and assembled by the Russian company “Trest – hydromontage”.
During the meeting, the Head of State was informed that the installation of hydraulic drives in this facility has been completed, and the maintenance and emergency gates are ready for operation with an automatic system.
Also, in the building of hydromechanical equipment, two bridge-shaped cranes, each of which has the capacity to lift 80 tons of cargo, have been installed.
As it was reported, the building and hydromechanical equipment for water transfer of the potential flood is located in the ST-3 construction tunnel, and construction works are ongoing in some parts of this tunnel. In this tunnel, the main tunneling works have been completed, and auxiliary tunnels are being dug. The monthly average volume of iron ore, including iron sheets assembled and installed in this facility, is 216 tons, and this indicator has reached a total of 9,074 tons since the beginning of the construction of this tunnel.
The founder of national peace and unity – the leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, during the meeting and meeting with the builders, invited them to perform the work in a timely and high-quality manner, and gave useful instructions and guidelines to the officials for quality control of the construction.
