On July 26, in the city of Rogun, the founder of peace and national unity – the leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, held a working consultation with the managers and officials of the “Rogun” hydropower plant and the activists of the city of Rogun.
Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon emphasized at the beginning that the purpose of holding today’s consultation is the conclusion of the completed construction works, comprehensive preparation for the commissioning ceremony of the first unit of the “Rogun” Hydroelectric Power Plant in 2018, and the assignment for the next quarter of 2018.
At the meeting, the report of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of the Open Joint-Stock Company of the “Rogun” hydroelectric power plant Kahir Rasulzoda on the implementation of construction works at the power plant was first heard.
In the report of the Prime Minister of the country, the Chairman of the Republican Staff on the construction and commissioning of the capacities of the Open Joint Stock Company of the “Rogun” Hydroelectric Power Plant, Kahir Rasulzoda, it was emphasized that the members of the supervisory board are responsible for implementing the instructions and instructions of the Leader of the Nation and implementing the Action Plan for solving all engineering and technical issues, compliance with international standards, involvement of modern techniques and technologies, rational use of existing machines and mechanisms, quality control of construction works, education of future builders of huge power plants, especially the achievement of energy independence of the country, all specific measures were taken.
During the consultation, the report of the General Director of the Open Joint-Stock Company of the Hydropower Plant “Rogun” Khairullo Safarzoda and the representative of the “Salini Imprejilo” Company Luciano Chikonya on the fulfillment of obligations in the direction of the completion of construction works at the plant was heard.
The President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, during the analysis of the completed works and preparation for the commissioning of the first unit of the power plant, emphasized that achieving one of the national strategic goals – ensuring the country’s energy independence for the development of economic and social stability and raising the level and quality of life of the people is of great importance.
Prioritizing the field of hydropower and building new energy capacities in the period of independence is giving its effective results.
As a result of these efforts and measures, for the first time in the winter of 2017-2018, the people of Tajikistan and economic and social sectors were provided with unlimited electricity.
In order to achieve other goals, the Head of State instructed the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Board of Supervisors of the Open Joint-Stock Company of the “Rogun” Hydroelectric Power Plant, the Management of the Open Joint-Stock Company of the “Rogun” Hydroelectric Power Plant and other workers and contractors to use every available time. favorable for the implementation of constructive goals of the state and government.
It was instructed that in order to achieve all the good goals and objectives, obligations should be fulfilled with quality, construction works, expenditure of budget funds should be taken under strict control. Also, quality performance of works, availability of high-quality construction materials, close and effective cooperation of the customer with domestic and foreign contracting companies should be ensured.
In the end, the Head of State gave specific instructions to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the management of the power plant to prepare an action plan for putting the first stage of the “Rogun” hydroelectric power plant into operation in the fall of this year.
Another task was given to the Government of the Republic on the establishment of the republican beautification and greening headquarters, to plant various shade and decorative trees along the Vahdat highway to the city of Rogun.
